Lightbulb Help removing I6 250/3 Spd

Need a little help identifying some "need-to" areas for pulling my engine/trans in my '66. This is my first time tackling this, so can somebody give me some pointers on what I need to remove?

The truck is the typical I6 250 and 3 speed column shift, I've already got the (4) bolts for the motor, but I'm trying to find the bolts to remove for the engine, the area's hidden under a bunch of grease. Also, what else am I going to have to remove in order to pull the motor/trans?

Can anybody help me out??

wait your truck didnt come with an "easy" button? the bellhousing/trans may be easier to come as one unit, unbolt the motor mounts then the bellhousing bolts and disconnect the driveshaft and out she comes. well remove the 2 shift linkage rods also, and the clutch pivot stuff...

Re: Help removing I6 250/3 Spd

I should clarify some, I have a 350/350 that I want to swap in. I have the engine perches & engine pads and also the tubular trans mount and pad from CPP. I just want to remove the old running gear and install the 350 items.

Thanks for the info Pimpston65, I was having trouble locating the bolts for the trans, I'm going to try and pull the motor/trans this weekend. 1st step of my long journey!
