Options Question
Couple things on my glovebox door that i dont know what they is.
first one is Z62 - Custom Deluxe Equip did a search and found some doods talking about the Z62 option but they had something different written after it as opposed to what i have written. Talked about some extra chrome or some extra interior stuff. ?????? the second one is: YG8 - Spec Promotion PKG C Did not find anything on a search for that. ANyone know what that consists of? oh and one more. not sure on this one exactly. B85 - Belt Molding everything else is i guess obvious as to what it all is. thanks for any info. |

You have a 72 Highlander with a/c, auto, tilt, plaid seat, black carpet, door edge guards, etc. basically a mid-year 72 only promo package that combined a bunch of options at a special price. 3 levels, A, B, and C. C was the most optioned level.

I am not sure of numbers or anything, but I think the Highlander was pretty rare. I know of 2 other guys on this entire board that have one. One of them is HatGuy, and I think the other guy is JayDubBlazer, but not sure on the last one. HatGuy has done some research on Highlanders, and would be a great guy to talk to or ask questions. Great score on that blazer! I would LOVE to have started with a Highlander to restore!

Here is HatGuy's web site for some pics...
http://www.pbhats.com/BLAZER/index.html Here is a pic of his plaid original seats in that Highlander blazer. Do yours look like this? Cool, huh? |

hhmmm maybe i should not do what i plan to do if it is rare and sell it to someone who wants to restore it.
radio hole has allready been cut but other than that everything is intact, sort of. i mean carpet is gone, blah blah stuff like that. i think i have all the body badges. dont think i have the body side mouldings. i have the stuff from the big block that has been taken off. intake, exhaust, stuff like that. i am the 3rd owner of this truck. i bought it off my friend, and his family bought it off the original owner in 1974 i think. |

I think a Highlander would be the best restore because it came with all the options you could ever want on one of these trucks, and the seats are different than the norm. If you have that glovebox sticker intact and the right VIN I would think it would be the best candidate to restore. I am sending you a PM.

Belt molding is the upper trim along the body.
