Re: Any one have a 1967 truck with 327 engine?
I have the spid from my original truck but this is not the engine from it... My trauck was stolen and stripped 3/29/11... I found this engine locally when I went looking for parts to replace the bare cab and rolling chassis... so I was looking to get as close to a Correct engine as possible...
Here is the SPID: Here is the truck before being stolen: Here is what We got back: Here it is today: I had all of the paperwork for this truck and the warranty card in the truck when it was stolen along with all of my Dads tools and other stuff totaling about 100K including the truck... At the time he only had liability insurance on it so we were left holding the bag... Thanks Tim and Bryan for your help identifying and verifying that this engine is what I thought it was... I would have been happier if this engine was built Sept. or Oct. 1966 my Dad took delivery of this truck in late November 1966...

Re: Any one have a 1967 truck with 327 engine?
That is quite the history and I am glad you were able to recover much of your truck.
After reading through your build though and the complete change over to a SWB 1/2 ton I don't understand why you still need a "correct" engine. Also I agree your engine assembly date is probably 4-5+ weeks late for your truck but without a POP or a build sheet its hard to nail down a specific range much less date. We are trying to bracket dates for a 70 Blazer on another thread or two. Given that you have decided to change to a 3x2 intake already I'd consider putting a more modern 350 or 383 in your new custom truck. Maybe a set of alloy heads (painted of course) with vette finned covers to finish out that backdated look the intake gives the engine compartment.
