Dana 44 close knuckle interchangeable with open knuckle??
Hi I have a 44 closed knuckle and I know they are stronger internally (spline gears). can I put all of the internals from the clothes knuckle into the open knuckle??

Good question. I would think some custom outer axle stub work would be required since the big difference is in the u-joints and maybe length. If the spline gears are different you have to start with closed knuckle inners

Ok that helps a little special-k..
And I'm talking about everything 61k10 I have a compleat danna 44 closed knuckle and want to put ring pinion ales ect.. |
