Upper Ball Joints

What size drill bit do you use to remove the rivets for the upper balls?

i've always just used a grinder to grind the heads off and a punch to drive the rivet out

I ground the heads down on mine. Then chiseled the remaining portion of the heads off and pushed the rest out the bottom using a punch. I decided to go this way rather than dill so I would not elongate the holes.
