Re: Lime Wife's 67

also got speakers installed made a couple boxes for under the seat with 6x9's and two 3 1/2's in the dash installed them with a home made bracket. Haven't installed the radio yet just temporally for testing purpose, sounds pretty good. NOTE: in second pic i had to cut down the old speaker some more after the pic was taken. Thanks to teeitup for the original speaker and bracket.

Re: Lime Wife's 67

That red seat is the same pattern as my '93 Sport Truck (buckets in it) - I have a '88 parts truck with same pattern in blue (a 60-40). Seats from late '80s thru at least '90s fit in '50s - '60s full size trucks perfect. Have one in my '56 recovered in vinyl and putting one in my project '67 in place of a buddy seat. They are thinner and more comfortable than the earlier seats. Should be plenty of them in salvage yards. I'm going to part out the '88 as I mostly wanted the bed & 700R for my '67 CST. Those trucks had straight bench, 60-40, buckets & bench w/center arm rests.

Arrow Re: Lime Wife's 67

wow, 2years/2months and 3days later...... the truck has just been sitting and driven occasionally in the time since then. But I've had some life situations going on, some good some bad. I moved and finally got to get me a shop to work in and we also got pregnant with our first child, was good till about five 1/2 months and some things developed and I lost my daughter, Danica in june 14. Even though she not here she has changed me I'm a better man now and the Lord has given me peace about it. I got really down earlier this winter and now am getting very motivated to get stuff done i realize life is short start enjoying it you idiot So now I'm so motivated to get stuff done and have been. Talked to the wife yesterday about the truck and where we want it to go. So today i took advantage of a snow day and went to the shop to work and just decided to start sanding the door it has some surface rust appearing so good place to start. Planning of taking it down to the frame when i get a lot of the body in better shape and paint it and do it right and get it finished.

Thanks, feels good to work on stuff at home eases my mind, since I really can't stand what I do for a living anymore. So tired of half finished projects sitting around.

Re: Lime Wife's 67

I'll be praying for continued strength and comfort, for you and your wife, and for a job you can enjoy!

I changed jobs approx. 3 years ago, had worked at previous job for 14 years. I wouldn't have made it much longer at old job. It sucked from top to bottom, all negatives had to do with the people there. Don't have ANY of the BS at new job. God did a great job of protecting me at the old job, and delivering me from it!!!

Quadrajets, for me, also!

Thanks for the comments and prayers, i can't say i'm not a blessed man thankful for my life i been given. I worked at my job for 15 years now and it not a terrible work environment but they do such stupid things in the name of "doing things better" when the old way worked really well, has most of us in "down" feeling while there. I had some spells last year while there that ended with me going to the cardiologist for a check and stress test. All came out well he said whats wrong with you is whats going on at work. Hope to eventually get my ducks in a row, start a different chapter in my making a living life.

More sanding, discovered five mirror holes bondoed over. Also had a crack in the top of the door skin next to the window. Cleaned them well and welded them up. Will have to let the wife decided what mirrors she wants to run and make some new holes

Re: Lime Wife's 67

Was thinking it would be neat to have the new model winch style spare holder under the truck. So i started fabricating a cross member and got a winch out of the junkyard. Thinking of running it out through the licence plate area.I would use a fold down plate holder like you use on the cars with the gas tank behind to licence plate. Gonna do some test fitting to get the spare where it want it.

Great ! Hopefully my plan will work. Will be so much better than the factory style that was missing anyways. I always carry a spare so want to get it out of the bed.

Yes, i had a rough few years but God and family have pulled me through and continue to. I have problems with anxiety and stress due mostly to my job and lets face it i need to get my body in shape also lol. I'm hoping to get back to the way i was few years ago. I'm wanting to get motivated and start enjoying the trucks in a semi finished state. Yes the engine is in the 6 position just fine all it need was a 4x4 fan shroud all else works. Thanks for the encourgement glad i could motivate you.

Re: Lime Wife's 67

Most would probably say i'm crazy but i patched up the cross member that was bent into a v shape. Cut the bent sections out and hammered the bottom flat as i could get it. Cut some new metal and patched paneled it. Me and the grinder will have some quality time together now.

Ok been awhile, job with overtime and kids have kept me busy. I have been painting suspension parts etc. And decided to go ahead and clear the frame so I can get it painted. I'm gonna take it one step at a time and do it right. Not going for a show winner but a very nice , reliable weekend cruiser.
