tach instrument tin cutting
Hey guys, I am installing a tachometer into my c10 that does not currently have a tach. I have the tach and am in the process of painting the needles. I was wanting to use my existing tins and just cut the holes in them to allow for the tach to go through. Has anyone here done this and have an idea of what size hole goes in the inner tin? Or, does anyone know a good way of lining everything up to make the cuts? Thanks.

Re: tach instrument tin cutting
There is a board member here that can do this for you and it looks factory. Don't remember his name but you can do a search and find him. Maybe someone will chime in. I also believe you can buy the tins at Early Classics or somewhere like that.
70shortfleet is the guy I was talking about. Check out this thread- http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=452035 Last edited by Steve Cole; 02-26-2015 at 11:09 PM. |

Re: tach instrument tin cutting
I bought one from 70shortfleet (Les) and also had him punch a hole where the blank is to the right of the column for a clock. Looks factory. Very pleased.
Here's his for sale listing for these. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=497031 Last edited by FirstOwner69; 02-27-2015 at 01:08 AM. |
