how many coils do you cut for 1 inch drop on a c20

So I just got done lowering the rear of my truck with shackles and hangers it got me 4 inches but didn't look quite low enough so I took out the 1 inch think overload spring since I'll be adding rear airbags as helper springs anyway. I installed drop spindels in the front before I did this and it sat pretty level so I want to go down another inch to inch 1/4 in the front. How many coils sould I cut off? I was thinking a half a loop but that may not be enough. Please let me know what you did I have to get this truck to the alignment shop asap so I don't want to be taking out and reinstalling coils 10 times tomorrow. Thanks

Re: how many coils do you cut for 1 inch drop on a c20

Thanks looks like I'll fo a half to 3/4 of a loop and see if I like it there. I only need to go down an inch to level it or 1 1/2 for a slight rake. I took some photos of my truck before and after but I allready had the rear shackles and hanger in when I started taking pics. There's some up on my build thread but I don't get much replies mainly because most think my truck is hidious lol its a primer crew cab that I put an orange stepside longbed on and has blue front fenders. I'm replaceing one rusty panel at a time lol All I need to buy is a set of front cab mounts and I can put my new rockers on and get ready for paint. But she sure is an ugly one right now. I'll post some pics after I get the front end back together hopefully tomorrow.

Have you considered buying a set of new 1 inch drop springs. Your old springs may be worn.
