Trim mounting points
Hey guys,
I have a 71' Cheyenne SWB. On the back of the cab below the window, there are 6 (total) "studs" where the trim piece snaps to. there are 4 shown and then there is one on each side right behind the door. My question is -- are the number of studs (6) correct? Thanks in advance~! CT |

Re: Trim mounting points
Should have 12 total and 8 of them are directly on the back of the cab. The others are on the side of the cab for the trim to wrap around. 2 on each side just behind the door.

Re: Trim mounting points
Thanks for the reply Scott~!
Guess I'll have to figure out to install some additional studs or trim off the ones I have... |

Re: Trim mounting points
No problem. This is where I found the partial diagram. SS Tim is the man here on the forum that could probably be the best help for a full diagram.

Re: Trim mounting points
That drawing is all you need since you have some of the studs still present. Mark the missing stud positions then screw, pop rivet or stud weld for the 12 clips as required and be done with it.
The moldings (two sections and a center cap), clips and screws are all available. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=574136
