Re: Dually Project

Much better on the notch, looks good. Do you have plans to fishplate the joints? Personally I would draw it up in CAD and have one big fish plate cut on a laser to plate the notch in one piece.

Re: Dually Project

Hey guys, I'm the guy doing the work for Chad on his dually. The backhalf is still in the beginning stages, it still needs fishplates, box triangle gussets and crossmembers. It's going to be a very reliable daily hauler when it's finished.

Re: Dually Project

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, been swamped at work. The suspension is done and got a new front clip. Metal for the inside of the bed is ordered so we can start building that and also the billet grill will be here next week. Then off to the body shop to finish all the body work and prime it. Should have it all together and primed for LST

Re: Dually Project

Interior is now pulled out, have new black carpet kit, gonna do lizard skin on the floor under the carpet and the headliner and roof console are done in black suede. Seats will be done soon (I hope) and most the plastics are getting smoothed and painted black.

Going into the body shop soon for a full makeover. Got the rendering finished and I'm excited about getting this going.

Re: Dually Project

Been super busy with work, but we decided to go ahead and body drop the dually. We are doing traditional (yes I know its not everyone's like) and I'm happy with how its going.

Re: Dually Project

G'day mate. I was just checking the update on your dually when my wife leaned over my shoulder and said "no way", but then I said" it would make it easier to get in with your bad hip??" Love the update, keep going, but don't forget to post, please....

Re: Dually Project

It's a shame most of your older pictures are gone.
So which front end are you gonna use? I like the GMC one the best. That escalade/Denali front end swap is pretty much played out. BUT that being said it's your truck and doesn't matter what other people think as long as you love it.
