1967 c10 firewall wiring questions
OK first question. On the passenger firewall kinda right behind the passenger side head you can see where you mount the wiring. (In pic) what the heck do you use to mount the wire grommet thing there?
Second question: I know the purple and yellow wire in pic go to the starter. What's the blue rounded groomet wire for? Thanks guys Mike

Re: 1967 c10 firewall wiring questions
In the first pic, I believe I installed that under one of the engine/bell housing bolts. Look down behind the distributor and you will see the bolts.. Is it right,? no idea. The second pic, I would look at the wiring diagrams and see what it goes to.

Was that a dummy light cluster truck? Looks like that blue one is for an oil pressure sender/switch.

Re: 1967 c10 firewall wiring questions
I mounted the starter pigtail mounting clip to the rear most exhaust bolt. But, something tells me it bolts to the rear of the head. Assembly manual might help here. That blue wire looks like it would connect to a temp sensor in the head. Left side, the sensor is the front of the engine, so right side would be the rear just above the starter solenoid. I think engines with TSC (did I get initials correct) used a temp sender in this location...could be wrong. Or a truck with idiot lights could use a temp sender on the right head.?
Edit: Oops, just re-read thread title and I didn't think a '67 would have TSC. |
