Adding a Brake booster
working on my 69 pickup and want to improve braking system. i have drums all around and have decided to add a booster. i picked up a booster that a guy said was off of a 70 c10 but this doesnt look like the ones that are found at the autoparts store. can someone give me guidance pls. and what other parts do i need to make this work

My '71 utilizes a bell crank (well, sort of. I believe the pivot pin on the "bell crank" is below both the pedal and booster rods...so the pedal pushes, not pulls). Anyway, I vaguely remember both pedal and booster rods having eyelets to receive a pin. Not so much a clevis arrangement. Hope that helps.
Edit: Maybe "lever" is better word to use instead of "bell crank" |
