factory tach problem
My factory tach is connected to a 396 with an HEI ignition system but the tach reads on the low side. If you disconnect and reconnect the plug on the tach it appears to read normal for a few seconds and then goes on the low side again. Any thoughts?

Re: factory tach problem
Is the tach for a 6 cyl or v8? Should be stamped on the back side.

Re: factory tach problem
I had a similar issue and added a tach filter. But as stated above, make sure it's correct for V8 for I6
