Re: 507 Marathon Blue
Thanks sboris, I am really shocked that sduckworth put it in the running. Thanks people. It was hard working on it sometimes remember all the times as a young kid and as a teen riding in it with my dad. Such great memories, every time I get in it.

Re: 507 Marathon Blue
Thanks Chevy Fan, The last few weeks i have been taking care of some loose ends like, pulled the seat and rubber mat and put sound deadening on the floor, fixed some seat springs in the seat, replaced ball joints axle shafts and seals in the front (which i should of did a long time ago) and finally the rear drive shaft. The slip yoke was wore out and sounded like i was ripping out my rear axle every time i shifted from drive to reverse and vise versa. The rear axle was built 2 years ago, it was a open rear end and i went to positraction. The last thing to do is hook up the stereo, Yea not really they are never finished!

Re: 507 Marathon Blue
OOPs!, my truck was 99.9% done and decided to connect the radio up, and ordered a speaker where the original went. Received it Saturday and decided to install in the dash. I was not doing any wiring at that time so i did not unhook the battery well low and behold my big arm apparently was up against the cigarette lighter wire and some how shorted to ground and started smoking the cigarette lighter wire and the Main wire that feeds the truck all the way out to the Battery. I jumped out of the cab and unhooked the battery real quick to stop the damage. I did not Need a radio that bad! So now i had to take the wire loom from the cab all the way apart to the battery to see what and how many wire were affected. I got lucky and just the main red wire needed to be replaced. A few other wires we barley stuck the the red coating but not hurt. The main wire from the battery to the junction block on the fender that took the brunt of melting. I thought there was a fusible link there but noooooo! there is now along with all new power wire to the cab.Under the dash all was ok but the cigarette wire no good either. Sorry for the rant but all good now and repaired, back to install the radio now! with battery disconnected!
