Re: Original longbed or cut shortbed?
I really like the "meet homer" build and i got pretty excited when i realized i have a dana 70 dually rear on the side of the house and 2 gmc tailgates.Im guna widen the bed 6 inches just like cooperhw did but ill widen it 3 inches on each side of the gmc. This all i have for now.I need some u bolts for this dually rear now and need to make or buy some shackle flips. Then ill have a roller and can start putting it back together.my plan is to get the chassis complete and working then put the body on.The truck barley fit in the garage as a stock 2wd so ill need to get the body on outside the garage in a weekend.

Re: Original longbed or cut shortbed?
Thanks guys.I'm working on a raised crossmember for the front spring perches right now.it's basically a 4x4 square tube that goes in between the core support mount and the spring perches.and I'm hoping I can use this crossmember to mount the sway bar too.I just started it yesterday.hopefully if everything goes right I can get it installed this week.
