Re: Chevy Steelies 16 inch

What are they off of? I did not know there were any 16's out there in that style.
Will they fit a 65 without any adapters? (center hole size etc.)

If so, I will take them, providing shipping is not too much. I am guessing shipping to be about $10 each shipped to Wisconsin-53066 ?

Thanks, Jim

Re: Chevy Steelies 16 inch

Those are 15" 71-87 4x4 steelies.
They are the 4-nub version which means they will clear disc brake calipers. Great for 69-70 6-lug 2wd trucks with a disc brake conversion.

Re: Chevy Steelies 16 inch

Those are 15" wheels. You measure where the tire lands on the wheel not the outer most lip.

That's OK, I am looking to buy them for a disc brake conversion on my 65. A 16" wheel would have been better because I could use a set of new tires I have already, but 15" will work fine.

Let me know what the shipping will be to 53066,

Thanks again, Jim

Re: Chevy Steelies 16 inch

FOR REFERENCE ONLY, this is NOT one of the wheels for sale. Pictured below is an era correct, 16x5 three nub wheel. The info you want might be stamped on the interior of the wheel (where you can't see with a tire mounted). Look closely for a series of marks as they include size, date, and maker. My 16" wheel measures 17.5" across outside diameter.

Re: Chevy Steelies 16 inch

Did we figure out if these are 15s or 16s? And does the OP still have them?
