I was thinking about getting these next.
My long tube headers hang too low and trying to get to the spark plugs is murder.
I actually have to unbolt the driver's side header to pull all 4 plugs.
I was wondering if anyone has these and how they fit.
My engine is stuffed as far back as it will go, and I have manual clutch linkage. If anyone has experience, your input is appreciated, thanks!

Hmm.. are you referring to the engine mounts? It looks like they are routed behind them.

i have seen whe straight dumps oem ramhorns were used in two wheel drive trucks. it makes it so you almost have a 90 angle in your exhaust to clear the engine towers. i was seriously concidering using these also but i would rather have angle dumps

Thanks for the info, I found one article about them, but they went on a square body C10.
They did have to make a pretty tight bend right off the header.

Why not go with an original set of high performance stock rams horns with the 2 1/2" outlet?

Never tried them but on my firebird edelbrock headers I used the extra small spark plug to gain clearance.

But that don't really help if the headers are too low, unless you get some mid-length headers, and that's IMO the best solution on a 2X4bbl what must be a very high performance engine. Why put a bottle neck on an engine like that? If for show only though the chrome ones look really nice. Remember the front cross-member on those trucks is really wide and you have to make an immediate 90* turn.

Count on losing performance going to those manifolds, consider how the gases shoot out the #'s 3,4,5,and 6 cylinders smacking right up against a wall and even putting pressures into the other tubes. Cave-man design, not sure why people think they are better than the log style. Like having a "T" on 4 of 8 cylinders and creating problems on the other 4 as well. That's actually what they are.

Look at the pictures in this link, there are many, many short style headers that do not have the inherent restriction of the Ram's horns, even the Sanderson manifolds look much better.

I like LT1 style manifolds, but even those are restrictive compared to headers.

And here are some corvette ex manifolds circa 1986. They require some modification to clear the engine perches, I'd recommend cutting the flange off and welding a 2.5" - 3" pipe with a 90* bend right to them but they are stainless steel so you might need stainless welding rod and stainless 90* pipe.

^^Thanks, a lot of options out there. Yea this is strictly performance and function, not for show.
I do like the long tube performance, but they are just too low and hard to work around.
If I can find some mid-length headers that will work, I might go that route. I'm going to research the ones you posted. Thanks.

iam about to take the old rusty headers off mine they leak and look bad. looking for anything that does not leak and fits with good spark plug clearance.

Just use the factory corvette cast iron rams....2.5'' outlet
