292 rocker arms
What would b the best way to tighten these without firing thr engine? I have em snug right now but is there a certain torque or method in making sure they don't have too much play?

Hydraulic cam = zero lash. I run the engine while adjusting. Just adjust slowly is all. Run it at operating temp. Loosen the rocker arm until it clacks loudly then slowly tighten until its quiet..right when it gets quiet give it a 1/4 turn and move on. Easiest to do while running...though when running it is "hard" on the engine, but not if your slow and easy.

i have read that after loosening and the clack it is 1/2 turn or 3/4 for a little more hp but that was a v8
