mater the 2nd

It's about time I share my driveway project 65 c 20. I found this thing in a salvage yard in bowie tx initially I just bought some parts off it. A few weeks pass and I couldn't quite think about the truck,so I went back a struck a deal with the yard owner and traded off one of my later model stalled out project trucks. It had most of the original parts other than the seat, side glass, motor mount stool, carb and radiator.I spent a few hours on it and got the old 292 up and running no thanks to the previous owner who hacked all the wiring harness out. The previous owner also put some crapy bucket seats and painted the passenger side of the bed rattle can black. I bought a matching patina bed side and swapped it out, also a stock seat out of my 66,latter 1piece 16 in wheels with tires that held air.

Re: mater the 2nd

A guy at work traded me a t 56 six speed, found a 71c20 for the disc brake setup and rear axial going to need the double overdrive with the 4:56 gears.
Have Ben tinkering with building a wiring harness. Just kind of a slow build on the side.

Love the prodject. Favorite patina look is that old teal or Neptune green that's all faded and rusty

It's not without flaws it has rust in the floor and roof .going to have to take the windshield out and roof cap off to try and save the cab or look for a cab that matches. But I am pretty confident I can fix it not my first rodeo.

Don't know it's been on the truck for at least 25 years was the only tire that held air when I bought it. But I'm the one that mounted it to the bedside. I do really like the appearance of it though.

That's one of the reasons why I liked the truck so much.
