Front suspension
This should go on the pre 47 section, but with some pro street builds on here, Kim for 1, I thought I'd ask. If I aquire this 42 chev I'm looking at, I'd like to do a pro street deal. I need ideas on the front susp, IFS mus II is very expensive. this trk has been subframed, Camaro, which is to wide. Can you do anything with the factory type straight axle? They work good on the street rods with the single spring. Disc are available for them. I want something that handles good, may be some drag strip passes involved, plus a lot of cruising.

Re: Front suspension
handles good and straight axle are two terms that do not match up.
I'd look at Heidts or one of the other reputable builders for parts in a truck that is intended to go fast. We only get one go round on this world. Risking my life to save a few bucks isn't worth it IMO. |
