Re: TF pickups with TPI engine photos wanted.
Nice work on your TPI. Here is a pic that I took of mine when it was just getting running. Found a complete TPI from an 89 Z on eBay. Added fuel sump, hoses and a lot of hand wiring to put the ECU and relays in the cab.
As to the AC and temp issues, what connections do you have from the ECU to the AC? |

Re: TF pickups with TPI engine photos wanted.
We rewired the complete truck with a new TPI harness from Larrys Electric. Although I wouldn't recommend them, since they sent me a 6cly Memcal labeled as a 8cly 350 Memcal that cost me weeks and hundreds to get diagnosed as the culprit to my piss poor engine performance.

Re: TF pickups with TPI engine photos wanted.
Yet again, I forgot about this thread that I started.
My truck has been complete for a year now. However, I didn't take the final photos of the engine compartment until yesterday. So this was timely that it came back to the top just now. I just recently added a Billet Specialties radiator cap. Nice product. Sure beats the cheap one with Chinese writing on that came with the American Eagle radiator. I ended up redoing the radiator fans. I went to dual HP Spal 11" fans because I had issues with the engine running warmer than I liked with the low profile 16" fan I had on originally. Solved the issue completely. |

Re: TF pickups with TPI engine photos wanted.
Best way to do it Ogre.
I did the same thing with my truck and my Belair w/Ramjet I showed a photo of earlier in this thread. I do not like those bendable corrugated metal hoses. I don't care for the way they look and have heard they can crack. |

Re: TF pickups with TPI engine photos wanted.
hey roger55, do you have issues with water drenched air filter when you drive in the rain? did you do anything on the inlet to your air box/filter inside the fender to eliminate that possible issue?

I don't think we will drive it in the rain, but I do want the truck to be ready for an unexpected rain when we are out somewhere. |

Re: TF pickups with TPI engine photos wanted.
or you could have a radiator shop move the outlet over to the drivers side. minor deal for any good shop. have a radiator hose with a 45 bend.
What's the deal with the 2 overflow hoses on cap neck? I don't recall ever seeing that before. Are you running a real surge tank? looks like a good bagger setup. are those shock towers off a chevy pickup? is there a valve cover adapter/spacer on the drivers side too? That's a nice engine. 430HP vortec? |

Re: TF pickups with TPI engine photos wanted.
full of questions, aren't I?
What about the those upper a-arms? are the adjustable for length like a turnbuckle? or do you have to unbolt them to align the front end? |
