Hitch/Gas tank dilemma
Installing hitch with underbed tank. Due to install location, the hitch bracket is covering the corner of the tank. The yellow circle shows the problem, the question is to trim it or flatten it and bolt the hitch on top. The tank is supported by tank straps. The tank brace is curved up which adds thickness. The rear bumper was slotted and welded back up at the bottom to fit the hitch since the bumper is welded to the frame. The red circles show the mounting hardware which includes thick heavy duty washer on each side of the frame. The washer may have to be trimmed where the tank is causing problems. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Re: Hitch/Gas tank dilemma
Why not trim off the 3rd-bolt-portion of the hitch so it lies flat against frame? Won't 2 bolts suffice?
