Hicky hood
I seen a post yesterday in a local C10 facebook page the guy was selling a Vic Hicky drop center fiberglass hood for $300, it supposably new and had all the mounting hardware still in the sealed packages, wondering if you think its a good deal? Not even sure i'd want one at this point, just curious about it?

Re: Hicky hood
If its a true Hickey hood it would be for a 73 up, Hickey never made a hood for the 67 to 72 trucks. Eagle Ventures made one of the same design for our trucks tho. Either way 300 would be a steal and I'm sure someone would jump on it.

Re: Hicky hood
A rare hood for cheaper than a common poorly made Taiwan cowl induction is a great price. Eagle Ventures made and sold these hoods. Hickey started selling them on the newer body style

Re: Hicky hood
I'd buy one for the newer style in a heartbeat if one came up. My 91 could really use a hood!

Re: Hicky hood
In the "for what its worth" department a friend of mine bought a Hickey hood for his square body back in the day and couldn't get it to fit very well. He went back to steel. Still manufacturing tolerances weren't all that good when the trucks were new and his certainly wasn't!. Doug
