2003 2500hd
I have a chance to buy a 2003 2500HD reg. cab from a neighbor. It has a 6.0 gas with automatic 203k miles. truck ran great until last week one of his helpers ran the truck hot when a hose broke. When it will start now it runs rough. I don't know anything about the LS motors. With it having 203k miles I figured to buy it for parts unless I could find a cheap replacement motor.
To be a work truck the body is in very good shape but the driver seat is trashed. What's this truck worth? He wants me to make him an offer on it. thanks Richard

Forgot to say that it is 2wd. I always thought it was a 4x4 but its not.

how hot did they get it? i would want to make sure they didn't blow a head gasket or crack a head. if it didn't hurt the motor maybe $1500. i just payed $2500 for a 2004 2500hd with similar miles.
if you do buy it i'd also checkout the body mounts because they are usually shot by that mileage

Thanks guys looks like its coming over to my place. Gonna check it out better when I get it here. If the motor is shot I will most likely just part it out.
