Re: considering selling my 68 and getting a k5... your thoughts?
Forget all this and join the Suburban club, you won't regret it.

Re: considering selling my 68 and getting a k5... your thoughts?
I think the kids would love it. Kids love to bounce. And go off roading? Kids woulds love off roading in "dads" truck. On the other hand, like zepp says, the wife might bit h. Just something you need to discuss.
Im all about family. So getting them all in to do things together is a yes vote here. Plus its super exciting to get the green light to go on the hunt for a new ride.. ![]() Maybe ignorant question here, never owned one, but isnt a lowered SWB c 10 a little choppy also? Just something ive always assumed..

It's been my experience that the ride is substantially softer with fresh rubber mounts rather than polyurethane. In fact I removed poly bushings within weeks on a 71 K5 I had years ago because the ride was rough.

Re: considering selling my 68 and getting a k5... your thoughts?
Well...I sold the c10 to wife's lil brother (whom I have known since he was 9 and now 26) so if I want it back it is still an option. He is loving it of course so I am happy it is being driven daily. And I did not buy a k5... instead I bought another motorcycle. And have been commuting on it, the 50mpg is fantastic. I paid 1800 for it and it came from one of these analysis bike guys who wears the yellow vest for safety and never misses an oil change. The bike books for 3500, and since I am a certified Mc mechanic I had no reservations about taking it.I will likely flip it down the road to buy a k5. :-)
