Bullet style GM sport mirrors on a Square

I was at my local Menards today and saw what I figure to be a '75-'76 ish C10Silverado short box stepside painted flat black. It had a factory tach. It also had buckets and woodgraining in the interior. Something I find odd was it had 2nd Gen Firebird/Camaro style bullet sport mirrors. Only thing was the bases looked to fit the truck doors perfectly and kept the mirror tops level. I think it looked really sweet. So now I'm wondering if this was ever a factory option? Or did this guy just do a really good job adapting them?

Thanks, Nate

They mount very similar to the early pickup sport mirrors so I don't see it being very hard to do but I have never actually done a side by side comparison

No they were not a factory option. I plan to do the same thing. I hate the look of the big dumbo mirrors. I got my bullet sport mirrors from an '81 Citation. they seam to match the door sheet metal angle of the truck the best. It sounds like my truck you are describing except mine is gloss black and a '77

I didn't think it was factory but it looks so good!! I kinda wonder how they'd look on a dually crew... :p!

I'm in the process of puting a set of '80 Firebird sport mirrors on my '70 Judge.
