Re: Calling sacramento area members...
Thanks for the shout out. Its hard to find the special trucks equipped just so. While I know you wish it had even more this was a great find in the years we spent looking.

Re: Calling sacramento area members...
Now that Jocko has his deal put together, I'd thought I'd share something else the seller has sitting in his driveway for sale. Hate to taint this thread, but the guy has a very nice, loaded 81 F250 4×4 with a front winch and really cool turbine style wheels. I'm not a F&%d guy, but I'm tempted. Probably going to go look at it closer on monday.

Re: Calling sacramento area members...
Wow. Good find, Jocko. That's a very nice model. I had a 77 K10 longbed with 350, th400, NP205, 3.73 posi, AC, PS, PB, dual tanks, tilt. Took it on our honeymoon through the southwest deserts, painted desert, grand canyon, etc. The 'usual regret' still hits me from time to time.

Re: Calling sacramento area members...
The honesty, integrity, and selflessness of those involved speaks volumes of the type members affiliated with this site. This truck could have easily been stolen out from under someone in a position like this.
Thumbs up, Saclandman, and Jocko! |

You'll have to give us the run down.

Re: Calling sacramento area members...
will give a rundown when it arrives, but probably not much more to show than the pics already posted - it's gonna be a long term project I think. Probably going to keep the 203 for now, PO already did the part time conversion and it has warn hubs on it. Just gotta make room in the garage first... Did do a little shopping today in San Angelo...

Re: Calling sacramento area members...
Since a few folks have asked - and I got the help I needed over here with my 67-72 friends, here's a pic. It needs to be completely gone through, but has good bones. Thanks again for the help folks - I'll post updates over on the 73-87 side, but just wanted to thank all the folks that helped. Sorry picklito, no more trucks from sac, I promise.. Got rid of the chrome wagons (well, working on that, I should say I removed the from the truck is all) and put on some rollers (the real 16.5s got dropped at the pc'er today), and found some buckets, had a few consoles, a radio, etc. The parts collection process starts all over again. Wee.

Re: Calling sacramento area members...
When my neighbor retired he came over to my house and said he would make me a great deal on his two trucks, and a bunch of other tools and stuff. He was original owner of both, a 71 K20 and a 73 K20. I did buy both of them and I was really surprised at how much nicer riding the 73 was over the 71. The square bodies 3/4 ton 4x4's are really great trucks.
