Love the color on your truck.
Thanks for the write up on the sway bars. I was going to do front and rear also, but after talking to ECE and reading this I am going to just install the front sway bar. Also, getting the radio plate backing piece also once he makes another run. That looks great. Thanks!

After going back and forth with myself on whether i should do it or not, I had the windows tinted today. After it was done, I was glad I went ahead and got them done. They used 35% all around and did an excellent job. I was very happy with the results.

Got home this evening from the cruise weekend in Branson. I put about 400 miles on it over the weekend. I got a chance to really test out the new sway bars on the curvy roads. Those sway bars made it feel like a completely different truck.
This evening I got a chance to put on the Undercover Innovations "show panels" that I had received the morning I left but didn't have time to install. I ordered them through Kyle and Sarah from Laid Back Recreations. If you're buying these, get with them to save yourself some $. These are a breeze to install and really clean up the rad support area in my opinion. I also put some polished button head bolts on the rad support. It was another idea I stole from Kyle (screaminchevypickup)

Next project was a total rebuild of the front suspension using moog parts(should have done the first time). And installing Willwood front and rear disc brakes. I am also going to use a Wilwood master and adjustable prop valve. Travis from Pro Performance put the kit together for me and saved me some $. He is great to work with and always took the time to answer all my questions. I would highly recommend giving him a call if you're in the market.
I have already rebuilt the front end and had it aligned yesterday. I will be working on the brakes now, and hope to have them finished by the end of the weekend. FYI, the moog parts all came from Summit. *Inner/outer tie rods and adjuster sleeves *upper/lower ball joints *pitman and idler arms *Control arm shafts

I got the brakes installed and they are working great. It's a pretty simple installation. I am very happy with the quality, and fit of the Wilwood parts. While I was replacing the ball joints, I figured it would be a good time to clean up and paint the spindles and dust shields. After installing the new wheel bearings, I mounted them to the spindles and mocked up the calipers to see how it looked.

And some pics with the front brakes all put together. I did have to order some shorter stainless hoses from Wilwood. The 22" lines they sent were about 10" too long. That could be due to my hard lines being an aftermarket (Inline Tube) kit??? Not sure, but it wasn't a big deal. Oh, I ended up using 14" hoses on the front in place of the 22".

On to the rear. The rear kit is a little more involved, but still very easy. Started off by pulling all of the drum parts off. Then you have to pop the cover off the diff to get the c-clips out. Then I pulled the axles and removed the 4 bolts that hold the backing plates on each side. These 8 bolts were so tight I broke 6 of them getting them out. Another trip to town for new grade 8 hardware. This pic was after new wheel bearings and seals were in. If you look closely, you will see that I welded on some tabs for the flex line to mount to. These weren't in the kit. I had to get these from Summit. I borrowed this idea from Z10 from his build. I didn't care for the tab being held down by hose clamps. So I went with the weld on brackets. I also built new 3/16 lines for the rear axle. Ignore the dust on all the suspension.

Rear all mocked up. Minus rotors and pads. Ready to re-install the axles. Once they were in, I put the rotors and pads on and that was it for the rear brakes.

Lastly was the installation of the new Wilwood MC and adjustable prop valve. This was also a pretty straight forward swap also. I was running a CPP booster and MC. The Wilwood master bolted right up to the booster using the existing rod from the booster. I plugged the brake light switch that comes off the front of the Wilwood prop valve. This was another idea I stole from Z10. I like the cleaner look of it removed. Here's a pic of it mocked up on the bench.(before removing the switch)

Here is a couple of pictures of the MC and prop valve installed. I only had to build a new line for the rear brakes. My existing front line lined up almost perfectly. I plugged one of the front out ports on the prop valve. I had to order the 3/8-24 inverted flare plug from Summit. I could not find anyone local that had one. Same thing with the 1/8-27 NPT plug for the brake light switch I removed.

I dont have any great pictures of the entire truck with the brakes on. I'm waiting on the black coating on the rear rotors to wear off. I also plan on painting the center of the front rotors so they will match the rears better. Here is the only pictures I have for now.
