69 C10 cargo lamp
I took the cover off the cargo light of my recently purchased 1969 C10 to see what was wrong with the bulb and the bulb was missing. The local parts store doesn't have a part number for the light bulb. I was going to try an1156 which I believe is a back up light bulb but I thought I'd run it by the you all first. Anybody know the bulb part number?

Re: 69 C10 cargo lamp
The bulb is a 2 contact bulb ( bottom looks like a 1157 ) that is a single filament. The 2 lower contacts are the hot and the ground . It doesn't ground through the side pins like most of this style bulbs . I will go out to the shop and see if I can find the package . I needed one for my K20 and they came in packs of 2.
I found it !!! 1004 is the number . Hope this helps !! Tom Last edited by 72 K20; 08-04-2015 at 08:56 PM. |

Re: 69 C10 cargo lamp
Just wanted to second that 1004 is correct and that at least on a 72 c10 the cargo light only comes on when the door is open and switch is on.

That is if you have door switches ,,, not all of these trucks came with them. The dome light does have to be on tho. |
