totally rust free cab price?????
what would a totally rust free cab go for in price?
In stock form, or with professionally replaced pannels (like ebfabmans work) Does anybody remanufacture/restore cabs that are ready for paint with titles? I'm just fishing right now but have ideas.(the wheel are turning)

There is a company that makes new cabs for 67-72 trucks. If I remeber correctly they were made of fiberglass and cost about $4500.00. I bought a rust free 69 C10 cab recently from a guy here in Phoenix. Paid him 200 for it and another 100 to deliver it to my house. Plan to change it out with the cab on my 70 C20 agter blasting and painting it.
Jeff

Our totally rustfree alkiline dipped restored cabs start at 2200.00, fiberglass 4000.00. We are around 3 months behind on steel cabs at this time. We use PPG products from start to finish.

I have seen Ed's work. He's currently in work on my cab. The delay is the place that does the dipping is running about a two month back log. He's shaving my drip rail, shaving the pinch weld on the firewall, welding up the heater core hole and the fuel tank filler neck, etc.
I plan on going down in the next couple weeks, maybe I can get some pictures of some of his work then.

MOTHERTRUCKERS, when the cabs are dipped how do you coat in between or on the backside of the pannels? Do you EDP dip them in a primer to ensure proper/adequate protection and coverage in areas that cannot be reached? What about the tar paper that is in between the roof pannels for rattels and vibration will that survive the dip process.

Depends on what year, and what options. For instance a rust-free cab for a '68 can cost a bundle, but a rust-free non-AC '69 cab can be less.
I've seen them for sale between $600-1000.

crazy4chevs email me and i'll explain the process on the inside hidden areas.
My idea of a rust free cab is 1 that is a cab that has been chemical dipped at a reputable company to remove ALL inner rust, seam sealer, bondo and under coating. Most good full restoration shops like White Post or Restoration Depot etc. requires the parts to be alkiline dipped before they will even give you a quote on restoring the parts. I myself had my 67 rustfree ( I thought) AZ small window cab dipped years ago and it looked like a target at a shotgun shooting contest when I got it back. I check the hell out of them now before they go to the dippers, 850.00 spent on a non usable cab is not good for anything except a tax write off. We warranty our work on dipped parts but not media or sand blasted parts only because of the inner rust in cabs, beds, tailgates and front bed panels cannot be reached to insure rust free metal by blasting. 99% of the rust in these year trucks is rust that starts on the inside and by the time you see it bubble up the paint your in trouble. Run your hand under the bed lip at the top and see what you end up with in your hand. I just recived a very nice Cheyenne super from a customer from Houston TX and from the outside looks like it needs nothing but after inspection it had rust in that top bed lip, firewall, kickpanels, cab supports etc. O.K I gotta go to work.
