Took out AC ... now where to put this hot wire
I removed the AC/heater unit from my 67 c10 as it wasn't working. But after redoing a few things, I'm not sure what to hook up that hot line that (I think) was running the AC.
The positive line goes across the core support to the alternator. Then the wire comes back through the voltage regular, to the headlamps and then up near the passenger side head lamp. I used the multimeter and its getting 12 volts. But not attached to anything. I have it wrapped in electrical tape in the meantime. What can I attach this to? In the meantime, my dash lights aren't working which I assume can be connected to this issue. Any help or any resource you can point me towards would be appreciated. |

I would look up a wiring diagram. U could always switch to a non ac wiring harness

Re: Took out AC ... now where to put this hot wire
There is already a red wire that runs from the alternator to the junction block above the battery , you could hook it there , search " wiring diagram " here and it will pop up

You don't need to reuse that wire. It is for "High" on the blower. But you really need to get a good wiring diagram.

Re: Took out AC ... now where to put this hot wire
Found some good wiring diagrams on the site. Thanks for all who contribute. But looks like that hot red wire would hook to the AC. Should I just get a non-AC wiring harness and start over? Or can I attach that hot wire to something else?
