WIW: 67 Cab - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have a cab with doors and windows. The cab floor was replaced and the cab was blasted and painted. Chopped 2.5" with 1 piece windows. The front and rear glass is installed already. Any idea what something like this would sell for, stripped cab with glass and doors?

that's a tough one. i would guess what that would sell for will have more to do with how fast you would need to sell and whether the buyer acknowledges the hours that went into it. looks like quality work. if it was mine i'd list it at $1,500 for the bare cab, doors, and glass. i could be way off though...

Also have to find somebody who wants a chopped cab, so that could mean waiting longer to get your price. Looks like quality work done though.

Yeah I was thinking about the same price. However after having a painter of 25 years look at it he said to don't take less then $4,000 for it. That seemed high.

That is a really good point. I have a feeling the cab will be sitting on blocks in the corner in the garage for a long time.

Someone with want the chopped top. In fact, someone might jump through the roof to find one already done that they can see was done right. I've seen cabs ruined in the chop process. I just sold a cab last weekend to guy who suffered a ruined '67 chopped cab. The cab & doors are well worth $1,500-2k to a person wanting a hot rod chop. I wouldn't chop a top on one of these trucks, but I'd buy that one and build a truck around it. Just like I wouldn't cut perfect doors for speakers, but I bought perfect doors someone else cut for 6 x 9s and I'll be mounting 6 x9s in those holes! It's chopped to a good proportion and having pictures of the truck assembled will really help
