I got the kit number F14x4@110. I also added the aluminum velocity stack raised base. Mine cost $205.26 by the time it was at my house. They are located in Canada.

Now after saying this, and buying mine, I would do things a tad different if I was to get one now.

This kit comes with hard aluminum flexible duct. I had trouble with mine breaking all the time, right where it hooks to the box. No big deal, since you can cut it off and reattach. I guess with my cam causing my engine to rock some, it caused it. I finally got tired of messing with it and bought some of the soft aluminum duct. Problem solved.

The inlets are nothing special. They are the 4" hard metal duct connectors you can buy at any building supply place. They are crimped on one end so the duct will go on. The other end is not crimped, but snipped at about 3/4" intervals all the way around. Every other one goes on the inside of the core, the other half go on the outside. These work great, but you could buy them cheaper at the store and fix them yourself.

If you already have an open element 14" air cleaner, you don't need to buy the one they sell. Also, I wouldn't buy their K&N type filter. It's not a K&N but a look alike. A K&N filter is cheaper and better. It comes with a plain filter, but you would be better off going with a K&N. This way you won't need to keep changing filters. It will also help increase air flow.

Here's what I would do now. Buy the box only, which is the 14" with 4" inlet tubes, at 110 degree angle. Then buy a air cleaner of choice, unless you have one already. I bought the velocity stack for extra clearance at the distributor. It will probably hit with a flat air cleaner base. They sell a notch kit so you can notch the box a tiny bit. Nothing special here again, just a metal piece you use to fill the hole. Anyway, buy the box only, or box and air cleaner. I would get the velocity stack too. It helps air flow and looks good. Then at the building supply, buy the duct like I have and some big dryer type screw clamps, 4 needed and the 4" metal duct connectors. Or buy another factory style duct from the dealer if you are not comfortable with the open style inlets.

Open inlets don't let water get to the air cleaner when it rains like some think. I love mine. No trouble except for the duct breaking.

I forgot to say, you will need to figure in the cost of the K&N filter too. And it comes with a simple wingnut. I added a nicer one.

Where does the inlet attach.......on the radiator support...?

And where did you get the wing nut?

It attaches to the stock locations, in the core support. I'm not sure what year this started, thinking 77 or 78, but anyway these trucks come with a factory snorkel on the passenger side. The drivers side has a place for a snorkel in the core support, and is marked, but not cut out.

The wing nut is a made by Moroso. It had some dorky decal on it and I took it off.

What kind of performance gain did you see with the ram air box?

I really couldn't say on what it gains. I've never checked it with and without. All I can say is, this makes sure to get fresh cold air, so it would just about have to be better than under hood hot air from an open element air cleaner. I doubt it has any ram air effect.
