Re: Goldfinger nachos big brother

rolling right along , its been a while but I have some more pictures… waiting on some parts from Summit for this weekend. should have some more pictures. Just picked up a real nice set of transporter wheels with tire. They should tuck real nice on the truck. Looking froward to stabbing the motor in this weekend.

Re: Goldfinger nachos big brother

here are a few more pictures from this past weekend… it was a busy weekend finding parts for Goldfinger , nothing like doing a little CraigsList shopping to get this build complete.Keeping with the them of this build. Anyone can find all the parts they need to build these trucks on a budget and end up with a killer ride. It may take a little bit longer but the deals are out there. I think the hunt is the best part about the build.. Don't get me wrong I did buy some new parts this weekend like the carb, torque converter, HEI distributor , but stuff like that should be new. I hope you enjoy how this is turning out …..

Re: Goldfinger nachos big brother

Sorry for being a bit late on this one, but can you describe what you did to clean up the frame and engine? Wire wheel it? Blast? Something else? And what did you use to paint them? Thanks!

Hey AJ , I wire wheeled the frame , I took it all apart starting from the rear of the truck. Its a bit of work but it comes out very nice. nextime I'll do it out side of my shop. It was a freaking mess…. make sure you have several size wire wheels. Good luck with your project AJ…

Re: Goldfinger nachos big brother

Went hunting on Sunday and Monday… and found some nice parts for cheap…. looks like Goldfinger is getting a tach…. and the perfect air cleaner. Its all about finding the deals on CL to build this truck..It's really starting to show as its coming together. I even found a guy that does Rhino lining out of his garage. I told him what I was doing with this build and he's going to hook me up for half the cost. I never set out to get sponsors but any little bit of help goes a long way…. I'm really having a good time with this project.I bought a couple parts I didn't need but when the price is good you have to take it. you never know..

Thanks for the quick reply and tip! I've got the bed off now and need to dig into the suspension a bit so I'm debating if I should clean it up while I'm at it.

What did you use to paint it? Did you roll on some POR15? Spray it? Probably not powder coat since it's still attached to the body.

Nice pick ups on the parts!
