Door Wire Looms
What are you guys using? I need to run speaker wire into the door and maybe a wire for a puddle light so I dont need anything crazy thick.
I kind of want something like this but cant find a part number. |

Re: Door Wire Looms
I have a ton of those laying around and have thrown away probably 50 or so from the trucks I've junked out. The hole one the panel really is gonna have to be pretty big for those to "snap" in. You see on the underside of the rubber ring at the ends is a hard plastic ring that the rubber seats into and the plastic also has ears that snap into the panels holes. I may be something like an inch and a half or maybe up to two inches. Check with the companies that make the aftermarket power window kits for trucks and cars, they have them in all different types and sizes, more like half the size of a factory one maybe even more than that. Re: Door Wire Looms
I've gotten them out of the junkyard before. That way I had plenty of different ones to choose from. different cars have different sizes, so you should be able to find something that fits your needs

Re: Door Wire Looms
Check out the OEM '69 Camaro power window wiring rubber piece. It looks appropriate for these trucks.
Edit: link from first place I found. http://www.camarocentral.com/1967_19...b_p/dwn-20.htm

Re: Door Wire Looms
The ones from the extended cab[99-07] look about the right size to me look at some of those sometime and if you need them I'll try to round you up a pair and mail them to you. I should have plenty laying around if I can find them. That is the kind of stuff I try to keep for a while then quit trying to keep up with them as I have never needed a replacement one. I've junked a bunch of those out.Jim

Re: Door Wire Looms
I've got a couple of set of the type Grumpy posted. Don't really like them. I now have a set from 99-2007 Silverado front doors that I think Im going to us.
I have yet to find any I really like. Especially new.

Re: Door Wire Looms
I would use the smallest ones I could find if you are just running speaker wires. Anything that has to screw on from the back side is not going to work on the cab side because of the double wall and limited access.
Many options here, https://www.google.com/search?q=Conv...oe=&gws_rd=ssl
