Hell of an eBay price on Jegs Crate 350 right now!

Hey all,

Just a friendly heads up.

I have the Jegs Crate 350 saved on my eBay watch list and they periodically drop the price for a couple days here and there.

They have it listed right now for $1299.99 shipping included...pretty tough to beat that price!

I bought mine the last time they did this and had zero issues, regular Jegs deal just like ordering from their website.

Here ya go:

I know I've been eyeing this engine up also. $1299, free shipping, and a 3 year warranty for a GM crate engine is one heck of a deal for sure.

Summit was selling the 195hp version for 1499 shipped but I thought it was 2 bolt mains. This is quite a deal, indeed.

I read somewhere that all the gm goodwrench motors are 4-bolt Mains.

Yes, I went back at looked at the Summit engine and I was seeing 2 piece rear main seal. Somehow got 2 bolt main in my head instead.

Except that these are 8 to 1 compression (some say 8.5 to 1)they are great buys as long as you just want a driver.
I look for good buys on the 9.4 to 1 roller cam crate engines.
I change rocker ratios and use an electric fuel pump and I'm done.
Sometimes I find a nice cam cheap and that really wakes them up.
My 2 cents, W

I think this is a good buy also. It has a roller cam, and Vortec heads and it's 9.4:1. Doesn't list any HP or Tq numbers but it will make pretty good HP with just a cam swap.

Which engine is the 260HP?

I see what you mean:
10067353 = Torque 304 @ 3500 rpm
12499529 = 326 ft.-lbs. of torque at 3,750 rpm

That's the one I ended up buying... says 195 HP, can produce up to 260 HP.

Yep it's over. I'm sure they will do it again but who knows when.

Re: Hell of an eBay price on Jegs Crate 350 right now!

Pretty cool write up by Super Chevy on the 195 horse GM crate engine we've been talking about in this thread. This engine with a Holley 650 carb, HEI distributor, and an Edelbrock Air gap intake pulled 287 hp on the dyno. Then they put a Weiand 142 blower on it also with stock cam and made 342 hp and 397 tq. Pretty awesome for a low buck crate engine. Here is a link to the article along with dyno video.
