Re: Frame Swaps ?
If your going to do a swap like that I would choose something 2000 and up. I was thinking about finding a wrecked one and see how hard it would be. I have enough parts to build another truck so why not. Plus I really just want the engine and trans. '

Re: Frame Swaps ?
What we have is very easy to update and to get parts for once you learn them. Take some time reading the FAQ section and ask questions when you need a little help and I think you will find no need to do a swap.

Re: Frame Swaps ?
Unless you're building a 4x4 that frame would be a nightmare.

Re: Frame Swaps ?
Much easier to buy a couple brackets from Captain Fab for a few bucks, purchase a 73-87 donor truck or suburban for practically nothing and swap front crossmember complete and rear end. Disc brakes, power steering. I swapped mine out in my 63 in a weekend. Now go to O'Reillys (or anywhere) and get all parts needed whenever needed.
Frame swap would be a lot more work not to mention illegal in some states unless you have title to both, get a dismantle permit on one or both, etc.... Would not advise it.
