bye bye 305

this week has not been a good one for the truck. friday i was readended. not a scrach on it, but the bumper. now for the past two days i have been having a really weird knock from the engine when i start it up. i pump the gas twice, then turn it over. it fires up really weak (guessing to 500 rpm). and while its at this low rpm it sounds like a rod is knocking. i ordered a gm crate engine last week. its the 260 hp/ 350tq engine.
i am really eager to rip apart that 305 to see what the deal is.
feel free to guess. the winner will get a free boat anchor!!! haha

Probably a rod knock. My 305 has had one for about a year now. Still won't die. I'll be trying in March though. Going down to the local track.
