I think I read somewhere on forum that you can you a suburban or van also as donor for disk conversion on 63 C10.
Can anyone verfy that? Is there a list of what will fit our Pups? (I tried but cant seem to find it again) Thanks for the help! |

Re: C10-Suburban-& Van disk set up same?
Search or go to the '60-'66 FAQ index and look for a thread titled "Disc Brake Upgrade Thread"
Suburbans are exactly the same as a truck. Suburbans and Panels are all based on the truck platform. The full size vans have the same 5 x 5 bolt pattern after about '71-'72. While the vans do have a wider track width, the spindles, rotors, calipers, etc are the same as on the truck, Suburban and Blazers. The Van control arms are also basically the same, but they have a different shaft assembly. On thing to watch out for on the vans is the steering box. While they do look identical to a truck steering box, they turn the opposite direction. At least the ones I have had contact with do.
