New style A/C unit from 1990 into 72 non A/C truck

Fellas,
I'm sure this is on many of our minds, and maybe it has been covered, but my searching online abilities are low.

Is it possible to add Air conditioning from a 1990 Silverado into a 1972 Non-air truck?

The reason I Ask, is I have a 1990 donor truck with A/C at my disposal. I'm wondering if it is possible to make it work, and if it is, how much work and modifications are required.

Thanks

I've never put a tape measure to it but I'd assume there isn't enough room under the dash of the older trucks

If your handy at fabricating you could problem fab up the compressor, lines, and condenser up front.

The dash stuff would problem be quite hard.
If you could use the engine bay stuff from the 90 and get yourself an underdash unit you may be able to make it work.
