Re: vent windows ?
Send em off to precision. You'll save yourself a lot of headache.

Re: vent windows ?
Sent a set off to Precision too. Had them back in a week after they received them. Can't say enough good things about how they look, they were awesome. I have another set I will be sending to them to have done, as soon as they are out of the truck.
I would post a pic, but they are off with the windows getting tinted at the moment. |

Re: vent windows ?
Mine was $110 for the set. But I had already bought the reseal kit from Precision, months prior, thinking I was going to do it myself. I also did not replace the latch, mine was in good condition. So basically, the $110 was for the labor.
Here's the fellow you need to talk to at Precision: Greg Stroik 4611 Camp Phillips Rd. Weston, WI. 54476 (715)-359-7837, Ext. 8235 Last edited by TKCR; 12-01-2015 at 02:01 PM. |

Re: vent windows ?
So how bad of a job is it to replace the vent window assembly? My experience with working inside doors tells me its like giving a cat a bath in rubbing alcohol.

Re: vent windows ?
Replacing the vent window assembly in the door, isn't so bad. Just watch a few videos and take your time. It's the rebuilding/restoring of the vent windows themselves, that's a pain. There's a few steps in the process that is very difficult. Leave it to the professionals, it will save you the frustration and a few busted knuckles.

Re: vent windows ?
Do they seal well after coming back from Precision Replacement Parts?
My biggest grip about my pickup is the vent windows leak bad! The painter put new seals in but didn't do it right I'm sure. |

Re: vent windows ?
I need window seals for both the driver side and passenger. Whats included in the work precision does? The actual lock on my vent window is very tight and will not lock fully. I need vent window and the entire seal in general. It's dried and cracked awful and makes sticking your arm out the window on summer days a pain.

Re: vent windows ?
Finally spent some time putting the new vent window in, well the right side so far, wasn't to bad. I put new door latches in too, that probably took most of my time, trying to get the doors aligned.
Sorry for the pics being sideways, don't know why that happened. |
