California to Boston

Visited with a truck guy in Amarillo this morning that was driving his recently purchased 62 C10 from California back home to Boston. Looked like he was having a great road trip !!!!!

He said the trans locked up in Arizona.. Bought a used one for 50 bucks!! Put it in and headed out!! He also bought used heater stuff and put it in... I had a blast visiting with him.....

That's what I'd love to do with the 64 I just bought in California, unfortunately it's not running. I'm still waiting for someone to haul it.

Cool stuff. Great story.
I'm a fly and drive guy, done it 20 or so times over the last 25 years. I just finished a 2900 mile trip in a 1974 Chevy C65 flatbed ( that should not have been driven across the highway, much less across the country) with a 1965 Ford F-250 on the back and a Yamaha 550 in back of the ford. What a trip!

Wow 57 NAPCO that was a full load..lol... I sold a truck to a guy that drove it home to Nova Scotia..... Said the tax and dollar exchange at the border was tough. He sent the title ahead of time so the paper work would be done....
