2/4 drop...lowering springs or drop spindles with stock springs
I am considering dropping my truck 2/4, and nothing further. (please dont try to sway me to go more)
The question is for the front is it better to just use drop springs or drop spindle with stock springs. I am thinking the drop spindles with stock springs, please educate me on this. Thanks |

Re: 2/4 drop...lowering springs or drop spindles with stock springs
I cut one coil and dropped the frt 2 in. it was easy and cheap, but I got what I paid for. I lost travel and the frt end rides hard. I'm already plannen on drop spindles and stock springs when I go disc.

I put a 90 burb front suspension upfront, with drop spindles, ride quality is amazing. Will never heat and or cut springs again.

Not trying to convince you to go lower, but I dropped mine 2 1/2 frt 4 rear and it is very level. 2" frt. may make the rear lower than the front.

Going with the spindles only will maintain the current ride if you are happy with it.

Re: 2/4 drop...lowering springs or drop spindles with stock springs
Thanks for the replies, it sounds like to keep a slight rake I should go with 2.5 drop spindles with 4" drop springs or 2" drop spindles front and 3" drop springs in the rear. Thanks for mentioning this I do want a rake to it

Re: 2/4 drop...lowering springs or drop spindles with stock springs
Spindles will allow you to still set the Cast and Camber 100% back to factory specs... if you do springs it will always be off just a little bit... So for good drivability I would go Spindles...
