Help! 94 explorer won't start

when trying to start the truck, the selenoid clicks. the truck will start with no problem when bypassing the selenoid with a screwdriver. I replaced the selenoid and still the same problem, replaced it again in case the new selenoid was bad, but still the same problem.

Any ideas? Please help. Thank you

I know exactly the problem. If you go around to the front of the vehicle and look on the hood, there is a little blue oval with the letters F. O. R. D. I think that may be the problem right there. Im not helping am i?? $.02

Usually a clicking solenoid is due to crappy Ford electron -- NO, WAIT! Let me try again.

Usually a clicking solenoid is due to low battery, low battery, that's right.

you have bad cable ends at the battery. stick a test light in the cable next to the cable end on the positive side it should light up, if it goes out when you try and start it and the light goes out put new cable ends on it. hope this helps

I would try cleaning all grounds and terminals to a bright metal with sandpaper. Then I'd look at the wires for signs of corrosion, swelling, discoloration, etc. I had lots of electronic problems with my '95. Removed each fuse, cleaned with a SS wire brush, and presto many problems went away.
