Junked Suburban

An older couple brought this all original 1984 Suburban to the junkyard to scrap. They were worried it was unsafe because of the rust. I work there a few hours on Saturdays every week, so when this came in, I just couldn't let it get parted out. The yard owner gave the couple $250 and an hour later I gave the boss $1000 for it and drove it home.

It has brand new tires and brakes and 96,000 original miles. The interior has no rips or cracks, it runs and drives great. Everything works as it should.

I don't know why they thought it was unsafe because there is only surface rust on the lower body.

Re: Junked Suburban

I've never seen a dash around here without any cracks. Seats are perfect too.

Re: Junked Suburban

Some people just don't want to deal with selling it and just junk cars since it's easy.

Re: Junked Suburban

Thanks for the good words. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it. I still can't believe how perfect the dash pad is, heck the whole interior is very clean.
