Question Ticking in the engine

OK guys need some help on this one. There is a ticking in my engine only when it is in gear. It can be in park and I can wind it up to 4K and I do not hear it. But if I put it in drive it starts. Kinda sounds like an exhaust leak. I'm thinking it may be a converter bolt thats loose or maybe missing. Any suggestions?

Posted in the engine section too.

if you have the stock exhaust, check the "doughnuts" which are the gaskets that go between the exhaust manifolds and the Y pipe ive had them work loose and sounds almost like a bad valve or lifter

Check the flexplate for cracks while you are under there checking the converter bolts.

I really think it is the header gaskets. I got some ultra seals, so I'll change that tomorrow and hopefully that will fix it.
