69-72 Steering Wheels--Never Installed

It's not fair to call these NOS due to their condition, but I believe these have never been installed. They weren't stored properly and they don't have the nice shine of an NOS wheel as well as some other issues. Since the grain is very good on both wheels, I had planned to make some repairs and repaint them...but have decided to go in different direction.

Both wheels have had some of the plastic removed on the backside of wheel (not sure why previous owner would do this----argh!). See my sample picture below for an explanation.

Wheel #1 -- GM# 9749753. Grain in overall very good shape with one 0.5" scrape near 12:00. Also has one crack 1.5" crack at 3:00. Has some other small scrapes along bottom of wheel. See pictures. $225 + shipping and fees. Money order or paypal acceptable. Now asking $110 plus shipping and fees.

Wheel #2 -- GM# 335212. Three hairline cracks on backside of right spoke. Also has more scrapes and gouges than the other wheel. Grain in pretty good shape except around 10:00--two spots seem "smushed" and third spot has a good gouge (see pictures). The grain pattern is a little different on this wheel...As I understand this is a less common, later production GM wheel according to this thread. $180 + shipping and fees. Paypal or money order accepted. Now asking $90 plus shipping and fees. SOLD

A good NOS wheel goes for at least $400-$500, so I am hoping I have these priced accordingly.

More pics to follow...

Thank you bow tie but I will pass. Just as a heads up, you can wet sand these wheels down then hit them with a buffer and some compound and get most the smaller scratches out and bring back a ton of the shine to the wheel. I've use 500 then 800 and finish with 1000 then buff it and it comes out very nicely

Good to know--thanks for sharing. I may still end up doing that if they don't sell.
