Dash insert question
Hey everyone, I have a dash out of my 76 and it looks like something is missing. I not sure if the insert was cut or if the vent is longer to cover the pad. I have a gmc insert that has a wood grain cent and 2 vent cut outs to. Also my truck does not have ac.

Re: Dash insert question
Looks like the insert has been cut. Since you don't have A/C, then the insert would be solid and cover the cutouts in the dash.

Re: Dash insert question
I have a 1977 that doesn't have ac, but has a insert that has vents that cover the holes.

Re: Dash insert question
Is your pad that short or does the insert end at the edge of the vent?

Re: Dash insert question
Non A/C has the holes in the pad behind the trim. The trim covers them up.

Re: Dash insert question
^^ Yes ... without AC, the trim panel covers up the vent holes that are in the dash pad underneath.
Here's a 77 without AC: |
