Anybody here have Headman Hot Tips on their exhaust?
I am fixing to have dual exhaust on my 72.I am going to use Flowmaster mufflers.I am also going to run it all the way back and exit under the rear bumper.I want some angled chrome tips at the end.I found these at a song on CL.Would they be too radical and what would they do to the sound.

I run a set of those on my Blazer behind a set of Walker Quietflow mufflers. They are resonators that will reduce or eliminate resonance in your exhaust system. They work great with my Quietflows. Not sure what effect they will have taking the resonance our of a chambered muffler like your Flowmasters.

Just do it! You can always change the tip out to something else if you don't like it. Don't forget to post up a sound clip! which FM's are you using? I bet it will sound good (I like Flowmasters myself), it might knock just enough 'edge' off the sound if you're using the 40 series.

Re: Anybody here have Headman Hot Tips on their exhaust?
To make the resonators work right, they need to be fully welded on to force all of the exhaust pressure through them. It will sound like an exhaust leak if you just tack them on because they do restrict flow, and the pressure will find its way past tack welds. Ask me how I know
