Re: Fitech swap on my 1972 K20
Did you have to run a return fuel line back to the gas tank ?
Also what about venting, do you have a vented cap or a vent line of some sort ? Gary

Re: Fitech swap on my 1972 K20
For know I just vented it to the ground , worked fine , I plan on running it to the vent on the tank.
Went for a quik rip in the old girl , as you can probably see in the pick there is a little snow on the ground but you only live once right!

Nothing squirts out the vent hose but air?

Re: Fitech swap on my 1972 K20
Looks like from the fuel routing you mounted the fuel center on the drivers side of the truck. Do you think it could fit on the Rh side behind the battery in the corner. Near where the cannister mounts?

Re: Fitech swap on my 1972 K20
It would be tight, especially with the battery and all that on that side. I would just mount it on the driver side like I did ,
Good luck

Re: Fitech swap on my 1972 K20
Quick question.
Have you noticed any problems with the fuel command center starving the throttle body when climbing or off roading? Fitech told me that sometimes the fcc will not fill up by the stock pump... He said that the fcc is basicly a larg fuel bowl that works on a float.. Nice truck by the way. Thanks

Re: Fitech swap on my 1972 K20
Hey coop,
How is the truck running??? I have been waiting on the FCC and carb/throttle body as it is back ordered till 5/6. On my 68 I had to add a vent line at the tank sending unit since 68 had no vent just the vented cap. Do you mind snapping a few pictures of how you mounted the FCC and how you routed your fuel lines and vent line? I appreciate it Scott

It's funny you asked about the old girl, I was just sprucing her up for the prom that's in a couple of weeks!!
Yes yes , the truck runs really good, me and my old man did some fine tuning to get it just right. Here are some of the pics u requested

Re: Fitech swap on my 1972 K20
I ran the high pressure fuel line from the FCC then through the driver side fender and then had it come in the back side of the throttle body, it all worked out pretty slick if I do say so my self !!!!

Re: Fitech swap on my 1972 K20
And yes I ran the controller through the glove box , it comes with the window cling but I thought it looked classier tucked away in the GB , when I go driving I just lay it in the consoles cup holder , and at shows I hide in the GB

Re: Fitech swap on my 1972 K20
Killer truck birdman,
Yes, I do see a huge difference in throttle response and power, the truck truly drives like a new car now , I am very impressed. you literally turn the key and go!
